During the warmth of spring, all flowers bloom, which makes the most beautiful Anqing Foreign Language School stand out. At 10 A.M. on 10th February, at the Lecture Hall of the east campus, Anqing Foreign Language School ceremoniously held the school opening working conference in the second semester of the 2016-2017 academic year. All the teaching and administrative staff both from the east and the west campuses vigorously and energetically arrived on time. Anqing Foreign Language School’s President Madam Huang Wenli chaired the conference and addressed a work report entitled ‘Gems Are Hard To Find Against All Odds, Yet After The Bitter Comes the Sweet’.
There are five aspects in Madam President’s keynote speech.
In the first place, review of the whole journey. President Madam Huang Wenli gave a passionate account of development and changes over the last thirteen years. Tears of excitement filled everyone’s eyes because of the achievement made today. All staff and faculty in Anqing Foreign Language School shall create glories one after another with love and responsibility.
In the second place, the new dimension in 2016. Madam President laid particular stress on management innovation. She requested further improvement in terms of performance assessment, teaching troop, Senior High School Entrance Examination, College Entrance Examination, school spirit, students’ quality activities, publicity, student enrollment, party construction, labor union, boarding service as well as school consolidation.
In the third place, job objectives in the 2016-2017 academic year. President Madam Huang Wenli demanded further perfection with regard to campus security, school spirit, teaching quality, elegant demeanor of teachers and students, school-running scale, candidate quality, routine work in addition to management concept.
In the fourth place, new ideas in 2017. President Madam Huang Wenli spoke glowingly of her new understanding, thoughts and initiatives regarding theory on school management, curriculum reform, construction of school culture, teachers’ professional ethics and humanistic care. Madam President established clear goals in the subsequent innovative development of Anqing Foreign Language School in combination with practical development to get clear thinking on school development with updated philosophy and forge new characteristics with fresh mechanism.
In the fifth place, we are supposed to try harder in 2017. Madam President concluded that looking forward to the future, we feel a heavy obligation. The aim and dream of people in Anqing Foreign Language School are to make a delectable school and devote ourselves in education in a tasteful manner. Having a spring in our steps, we set out again. We roll along merrily and set sail again for our beautiful dreams.
Overall, the whole year’s work depends on a good start in spring. Well begun is half done. This working conference enabled all faculty to further make each work task clear and definite so that they would enhance their sense of responsibility and put sheer enthusiasm into work in the new term to meet new challenges and compose new achievements.
